Fun Football Tournament raises money for the Homeless World Cup

Homeless World Cup events have been happening all this week so we thought we'd let organiser Mr Edmondson tell us about one of the most exciting - the football tournament...

He reports: 'We had great fun at the charity football tournament, with 55 boys taking part.

It came down to the wire, with Kysharn and Omar’s side leading the tournament throughout until the final round of games, where Abdulkarim’s side took a 1-0 win from an own goal. Cue wild celebrations!

Amin from Year 7 was Man of the Tournament for his excellent, Cvitas management of his 5 subs, who all got equal game time.

Dawood from Year 8 was Goalkeeper of the Tournament for his amazing saves and clearances.

Kysharn and Omar scored an absolutely outstanding Goal of the Tournament, linking up with a 1-2, 3-4 and rounding the keeper for a really cool finish.'

Special thanks to LSA Tom Smith and Benji from our partner, the Jason Roberts Foundation.

Roll on the next fundraising footballing fun!
