Ark Athletes Victorious for 3rd year running at KS3 Ark Network Championships

For the 3rd year running our KS3 athletes emerged triumphant and relieved winners after a difficult day of competing with other ARK schools across the network.

Ahmed in Year 8 said: I’m really proud and grateful that we won but getting to this place was the most nerve wracking thing I’ve ever done.

No one was there to play around and everyone was there to win. With our teamwork and effort we came through – we showed them ‘This is Ark Academy.’

Latoya in Year 7 explained: 'I came 2nd in 100m and 3rd in discus. I'm happy that I did my best and got the results!'

Year 8 and 9 won their year group during the toughest year yet against some excellent competition, which made victory all the sweeter.

Head of Girls PE Miss Addison told us: 'They were definitely nervous and had to dig deep and do it for the team. It was a real learning journey for them and I am really proud. When they announced us as winners - there was no roof but if there was it would have come off, our kids were so excited!'

Check out our individual stand out students below and congratulations to all of our star athletes on a brilliant win! #Excellence
