Hani's Cambridge offer

Ark Academy Sixth Form continues on its path to success this year with another of our students securing an offer to study at Cambridge University.

Hani Dahir has received an offer to study Maths at Queens College Cambridge. Hani is understandably thrilled her achievement and excited at the prospect of studying at one of the world’s finest universities. Only one in five applicants typically secures a place after a rigorous application process, including interviews.

Hani joined Ark Academy in 2017 having completed her Key Stage 4 studies at Ark Elvin also in Wembley. When reflecting on her success, Hani said that she has always loved maths and has really enjoys the challenge it presents her on a daily basis. Mr Triantafilidis who has taught Hani Maths since she started in Ark Academy Sixth Form, is over the moon about her offer and conscious of the hard work and effort she puts in on a daily basis, quoting her commitment to her studies as a huge factor in her success.

So far we currently have 243 UCAS offers with that number rising all the time, with 41% of UCAS applicants holding offers from Russell Group universities. Again this year we have a bias towards the London Universities with 27 holding offers from Queen Mary, 15 from Kings College London and Imperial starting to feature as a favourite with our science students.  Students are now working hard to make sure they get the grades, to quote Hani “the hard work starts now.”

Principal Mrs Smith is thrilled, as always, with the achievement of our Year 13 pupils and “All offers are a testament to the hard work of our staff and our students on personal statements, references and of course, A Levels. There is a lot of work ahead but I am excited for August and the doors that will open up for our Sixth Form students.”
