Ark students win Ark Network KS3 Athletics Championships

The superior skill and determination of Years 7-9 proved too much for the rest of the network, as we won 1st place at the Ark Athletics Championships.....on the day after our own Sports Day! We were competing against 13 other schools, with over 300 pupils taking part in a day of track and field events at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

Despite tired legs, our athletes fought hard and secured a victory, in particular, thanks to excellent performances from the Year 7 girls in the 200m, 300m and 800m races.

Head of Girls PE, Miss Addison said: "I felt very proud when watching their athletic performances and their determination to succeed. Competing two days in a row is not easy on the body or the mind however our super athletes demonstrated persistence and they have a unique way of inspiring each other. Well done team! I'm already looking forward to next year!"
