Inclusive Sports Day - we invite you to come & watch Brent students compete for sporting greatness
We are excited to invite you to our latest sports event - come down and support Brent students in this fantastic tournament!
On Friday 16th October, Ark Academy in partnership with the Jason Roberts Foundation, The Golf Trust and the Wembley Stadium Trust will host the inaugural Inclusive Sports Day for Brent.
The purpose of the Inclusive Sports Day is to introduce special educational needs children from mainstream- and special needs- schools to adaptive physical education.
The focus is heavily upon participation, cooperation and building friendships between pupils with learning and/or physical needs.
Children from across Brent will experience Paralympic sports, including Goalball, Boccia, Seated Volleyball and Golf, delivered through a wide range of experienced special needs sports coaches.
The event is targeted at forty young people from a variety of Brent schools. The Inclusive Sports Day will be the first in a series of half termly events that specifically target participation in physical activity for an often marginalised group of students.
