What year would my child be in? For the Academic Year from September 2022 to July 2023
- Reception – for children born between 1st September 2017 – 31st August 2018
- Year 1 – for children born between 1st September 2016 – 31st August 2017
- Year 2 – for children born between 1st September 2015 – 31st August 2016
- Year 3 – for children born between 1st September 2014 – 31st August 2015
- Year 4 – for children born between 1st September 2013 – 31st August 2014
- Year 5 – for children born between 1st September 2012 – 31st August 2013
- Year 6 – for children born between 1st September 2011 – 31st August 2012
- Year 7 – for children born between 1st September 2010 – 31st August 2011
- Year 8 – for children born between 1st September 2009 – 31st August 2010
- Year 9 – for children born between 1st September 2008 – 31st August 2009

We will endeavour to process your application within 10 days. If your application is unsuccessful, your child will be placed on our waiting list in accordance with the oversubscription criteria found in the admissions policy.
In Year Admissions
Applications made to any year group outside the main admissions round (in-year admissions) should be made directly to Ark Academy.

Parents/carers will be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days. If a place is refused the child will be added to the waiting list, the position on the waiting list will be determined according to the oversubscription criteria in the School's Admissions Policy.
If refused a place, the parent/carer has the right to appeal the decision.

Appeal panel hearings will take place within 30 school days of receipt of the appeal. Parents/carers will be notified of their appeal hearing date by an independent appeal panel clerk.
On receipt of an in-year application, Ark Academy will notify Brent School Admissions of both the application and its outcome, to allow Brent School Admissions to keep up to date with figures on the availability of academy places.
