Ark Academy's First Musical
***PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE FOOTBALL THE TIMINGS HAVE CHANGED, CREATIVE QUATERS EXHIBITION WILL OPEN FROM 4.45PM AND ANNIE WILL START AT 5.15PM***
Ark Academy is eagerly awaiting the performance of its very first musical on Wednesday 11th July at 6pm in the Secondary Hall. Our cast have been working hard since Easter, rehearsing twice a week to perfect songs, dances and dialogue to make this debut of Annie one to remember!
Our main characters Annie, Miss Hannigan, Grace and Warbucks (played by Bathseba Feshazion-Mahray, Angel Egbuche, Meesha Nathan-Stoute and Hamza Arybou) will be performing some of the most memorable songs from the show, such as Maybe, Tomorrow and NYC. One to look out for from our feisty orphans is the well-known song It’s the Hard Knock Life, and baddies Rooster and Lily (Amar McPherson and Jestina Steer) will be spicing up the story with their rendition of Easy St, amongst others.
We would love to see you at the premier of this classic musical at Ark Wembley; our Ark students sure are a talented bunch and we want you to see it! Tickets are £3 for adults, and £2 for children.
The 11th also hails the return of the Art and Design Technology Faculty’s annual exhibition. Every year we showcase some of the most promising creative talents from across the year groups in Art, Design, Textiles and Food, giving you the chance to see the next Eames or Hirst before you have to pay to see them. Take the chance to build your cultural capital. The exhibition will run prior to the show, opening at 5pm. Come early, claim your free drink with your performance ticket and be prepared to have your mind opened and enthralled. See what Key Stage 3 have been up to and the journey our students undergo to create the work they produce in GCSE and A Level. The perfect warm-up to the show. The exhibition will also be on show during the interval just in-case you still haven’t had enough creativity for the evening. We look forward to seeing you there.
