Welcome to the Ark Academy Primary remote learning page.
We will be using the ‘Seesaw’ platform if the need arises for learning to occur at home. There are three scenarios in which this will occur:
|Scenario 1||The teacher and class are in school, but your child is absent as they are self-isolating due to COVID symptoms. Please use Seesaw to access the lessons that are being taught in school each day. You will have access to the task sheets being used in school.|
|Scenario 2||Your child’s whole year group ‘bubble’ has been sent home. Please use Seesaw to access the lessons that would have been taught in school each day. A timetable and clear instructions for these lessons will be posted on Seesaw.|
|Scenario 3||The school has been closed down, following local or national COVID related guidance. As with scenario 2, please use Seesaw to access all of your child’s lessons each day.|
If none of these scenarios are in effect, then home learning will NOT be posted onto the platform.
In addition to any potential remote learning being posted onto Seesaw, teachers will begin to post their weekly spellings, times tables and other homework onto the platform as well. Please look out for these each Friday.
You should have received a ‘home learning code’ for your child to log into the Seesaw platform. This will be given out during the week beginning 02/11/20. If you have not received this then please contact the school. When you have your child’s code, please click on the link to Seesaw (https://app.seesaw.me/#/login) and then click on ‘I’m a student’ to sign in.
Please see our parent guide to Seesaw and learn how to use the platform here.
