Nursery

Ark Academy are proud to offer a high-quality Nursery provision as part of our Outstanding all-through academy. Our nursery provides a friendly, welcoming environment for all our infants from ages 3 to 4.

We offer free morning or afternoon sessions, Monday to Friday, for three hours each. Our morning sessions runs from 8:30 – 11:30 and our afternoon sessions are 12:40 – 3:40.

Ark Academy Mission
Starting at our nursery, our Academy goal is that every child, regardless of their background, can go on to higher education or the career of their choice and participate fully in our democratic society.

Ark Academy Nursery shares the standards and high expectations of the wider school, and is underpinned by our core values:

• Our core value is Civitas: we teach children to be caring, polite, conscientious and motivated members of society. We want our children to aim high and be happy, successful citizens.
• We identify and celebrate excellence, though maintaining high expectations of the children’s presentation, uniform, behaviour and play. By doing this, we identify what excellence looks like and support our children to strive for it.
• We know that children who show perseverance are able to overcome challenges by developing the ability to try again even if they find it tricky. This forms a core part of our teaching in the nursery.
• We promote participation at Ark Academy, by expecting and encouraging children to join in and try every activity. We celebrate our mistakes as chances to learn and improve.
