There are celebrations across Ark Academy as Year 11 students collected an excellent set of GCSE results, with many surpassing expectations and securing places at our ambitious, high achieving Sixth Form.
Over 30% of students achieved more than 5 9-7 grades with 14 students securing average grades of grade 8+.
These included Jyoshita Datta Juluru with an incredible 10 9s and an A in the Additional Maths qualification. She will go onto study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Psychology and has enrolled at Ark Academy Sixth Form.

Eshnika Sangwan with 5 9s, 3 8s, 1 7, 1 6 and will study Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Economics at Ark Academy. Eshnika attributes her success to practising early in little chunks.

Ariana Milen achieved a brilliant 4 9s and 5 8s, Ariana will study Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Philosophy.

Ziad Lloyd achieved 4 9s and 5 8s and 1 7 and will be studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Ziad reflects that the biggest mistake that a student can make is not trying.

Luca-Stefan Rosu achieved 4 9s, 3 8s and 2 7s and 1 6. He will be study Physics, Computer science, Maths and Further Maths.

Twin brothers Andei and Stefan Paun did exceptionally well. Between them they secured 2 9s, 9 8s, 5 7s, 2 6s. Andrei also achieved one of the highest Progress 8 scores in the Academy’s history at 3.69. They will both be studying Economics, History and Biology at Ark Academy. Both brothers worked very hard and still contributed so much to sports at Ark Academy.

The Academy was particularly pleased to see so many students maintaining excellence across a broad range of GCSE subjects and earning places on highly competitive A Level courses. Many of the highest attaining students will now continue their studies in Mathematics, Science, Computer science and Medicine pathways. This year’s results also highlighted the impact of sustained effort - students made strong progress from their starting points, with Progress 8 at 0.92, an exceptional effort. The academy recorded strong headline outcomes with 80% of students achieving grade 4+ in English and Maths and 63% achieving grade 5+ in English and Maths.

What is particularly pleasing is the number of students who have exceeded expectations and achieved outcomes that will enable them to pursue ambitious next steps. We have seen exceptional individual performances and are delighted that so many students will now continue their journey into Ark Academy Sixth Form and beyond.

As students celebrate with friends, family and staff, Ark Academy looks forward to welcoming many back into Sixth Form. We are sure they will contribute to our Sixth Form which has such success with its A Level and BTEC Results, and top third university offers – 83% of our Ark Academy students this year will attend a Top Third or Russell Group University.
